Where Am I? is a fine art project that shows the complex relationships between myself and living and studying in a foreign country. It is a personal story and a sensitive look at unfamiliar terrain through my eyes. My personal experiences, living in a strange place have been a struggle, and at times make me feel incompatible with both the urban environment and people in general. I have been looking for the path to my comfort zone. Therefore, I have created a series of photos about navigating personal and psychological space in an unfamiliar environment. My visual style incorporates cool color tones and the human figure in ironic environmental situations. The images are captured digitally and retouched in Photoshop. Many of the images are composites.
